THE HISTORY OF THE

SGW GIMMICK CHAMPIONSHIP

3/29/2000 - 7/30/2006

The SGW Gimmick Championship can only be defended in stipulation matches. On 7/22/2001, Tommy Dreamer won the championship and renamed it the Extreme Championship until it was vacated on 2/17/2002. When the championship was reinstated in 2006, it was reverted to its Gimmick roots until its unification with the Hardcore Championship at WrestleBrawl 2.
